#44 Chores | The Daily Doodle

Today’s doodle is about chores.

As the eldest daughter in the family, I’m no stranger to chores. Over the years, my defiance grew each day because I never understood why I helped with laundry while my brothers played video games. Or, why I washed dishes after dinner while my brother only took out the trash.

It was frustrating to feel like a mini-parent, constantly worried about chores and keeping things clean. I'm sure I'm not the only one who was told to do chores that were annoying, gross, or just straight-up dumb—like passing your parent the remote while they’re on the couch.
