#69 Work | The Daily Doodle

Today’s doodle is about work.

Be honest. Which song popped into your head first: "Work" by Rihanna, "Work It" by Missy Elliott, or maybe "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton? Either way, work is woven into the fabric of our culture.

We work from home, work from the office, work to make a living, and work on each other's nerves. It's a constant churn to produce.

What if work was a delight? An exciting activity you feel blessed to achieve each day. In Japan, they call this "ikigai." It's essentially a purpose for living, a calling.

For many of us, ikigai isn't extravagant or housed on a stage. It's small, minute, and gentle, like cooking for people we love or advocating for others seeking prosperity.
